About

Introduction

This will explain what Fennec player has focused on through these years and how it's changed. For example: it'd been completely re-coded eight times, every re-coding process was aimed to change what it had mainly focused on and to change its programming language.

What's Fennec Player?

Formerly, Fennec was an audio mixer that could playback and control two media files simultaneously. As it stepped to version 7 (the version before 1.0 in new version nomenclature), it could mix theoretically unlimited number of files simultaneously. Version 7.1.0 (1.0) was designed (actually, removed many bulky and buggy features) with the intention that it should be a fast, compatible media player which supports playing many media file formats.

After version 7.1.1, it was added with many features such as conversion/ripping and so. Finally, it's a media player, transcoder and a GUI or simply: a multimedia suite.

What It Should Always Be?

  • Compatible.
  • Fast.
  • Easy-to-use.
  • Equipped with many features, it should be able to do anything that the user want to do.
  • Something that provides highest quality media output.
  • Should be able to play anything on the earth.
  • Not-buggy ;-)

What The Code Should Always Be?

  • Shouldn't use any (alrite :-D many?, it it's so tough) operating system dependent codes.
  • Clean coded.
  • Fully commented.
  • Dynamic and module independent coding (plugging in style).
  • Simple, I meant that it shouldn't be written in uppercase! ;-)
